I'm sure she'll get the same treatment.

I mean 'Born This Way' ads were everywhere it was insane, and Gaga is Interscope biggest artist, they won't let a sloppy-non-number-one debut happen.

She just need to finish the album to focus on international markets in October and give a big american push the week the album is released T_T

Katy's label is REALLY shoveling out ALL the coins for her. :rip:

Yeah, you have to wonder if they're actually making any money on these singles with all the money they've spent on iTunes/YT banners, the huge-ass radio deal for Roar, etc. They must really be banking on HUGE album numbers.

Applause:

#1391 Applause (Purity Ring Remix)

Applause Remixes:

Ugh doing terribly. Since they were originally supposed to come out tomorrow, maybe there's a chance they'll get a banner?

I don't know, Katy's promo is otherwordly and hardly common for most pop stars.

THREE iTunes banners? :rip:

A truck? :rip:

Taxi cabs? :rip:

They did a pretty good job having Gaga's iTunes Festival banner, a Kia commercial & a Windows commercial.

What irks the most is that Capitol saved the entire October to focus mainly, if not entirely, on the release of Prism. Other than Sky Ferreira and a relatively unknown rock band, Katy's all they got. While Interscope has two major albums to focus on November with mere 5 days apart.

They probably DON'T. But since Capitol has like 3 big artists, one of them being Katy, another being Coldplay, and I don't remember the third, but basically since she's the only one releasing this year, their entire budget is going to her and her only because she's the only really profitable artist that they're promoting right now since the other 2 big artists on their label aren't releasing anything this year.

So it's kinda either they make Katy be successful with a huge promotional campaign or they risk the possibility of her underperforming, which would mean that they make very little money this year.

It's going to be pretty devastating for them if Prism debuts low. They NEED it to sell at least 300k first week just to recoup the losses, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're banking on 400-500k, if not higher.

I don't remember the promo campaign for Teenage Dream/CG. Was it this aggressive?
