justalovegame 0 Posted October 11, 2013 Share Posted October 11, 2013 16th radio but it doesnt go to itunes until the album drops on the 22nd so Gaga may secure another week in the Top 10 with Applause... omg they kinda just ****ed up. That radio before itunes strategy never works. Idk if Katy will be the exception. Because if Applause would have debuted with its video, it probably would have peaked higher than #4 on HOT100. Debut sales + huge video streaming points Idk about that. What were the Top 3 songs that week? Blurred Lines. Roar. and WCS? She might have peaked at 4 regardless. I'd rather she wait until all 3 components align to get a nice peak/boost. The point is that streaming was the sole cause of her #4 peak. With pre-album singles, her sales peak will more than likely be the first week and if that's the case, it's wise to put all the eggs in that first week basket for the sake of the highest possible peak.
