NNNNNNnnnnn Hits' prediction sucks as usual. the 500K for Gaga and 700K for eminem might get lowered too tho. 325K for the 20/20 Vol. 2 is quite fair for JT, given the singles he has released are nothing but chart failures. But his opening week sales for his 4th album could have been way bigger if the gap between V1 and V2 aren't as close as 6 months. That's what I'm most disappointed about. I think it would have been more beneficial if he just waited for early 2014, and just repeat the promotion he did for Vol. 1. Anyway, the 325K would still push JT's total album sales this year to around 2.5 million, which isn't that bad. 3 million by the end of the year isn't impossible for him. As for Gaga, I'd still go for 400K at most. And 600K at least for Eminem. But of course, I'm hoping they'd both exceed those numbers as their album release dates come near. I think preorders contribute first to the single and then the CMA effect takes over when the album is released. Not sure. It's not clear. It seems now that songs ordered and paid for when the album is pre-ordered count as a sale for the song when that song is made available to download; only to be eventually subtracted off again when the album is delivered. But if the album is credited as a sale on itunes when it is pre-ordered (and not yet delivered), then it should not need the actual delivery of the single before it counts likewise. Maybe for DH, itunes messed up and didn't credit the orders of the song when they should have, only to credit them suddenly at once as a fix. Or maybe it was that songs received alongside a pre-ordered album didn't count as a sale for the song (because of early complete my album effect), but that Capitol got this overturned for DH. What the situation is for Applause, there seems no way of knowing. I know when I go to itunes and look at ARTPOP, it invites me to 'complete my preorder' since I have Applause already, which kind of indicates to me that as soon as I push that button, it would negate my Applause sale.
