US Charts Discussion - TRACK 'DO WHAT U WANT' HERE!

Maybe when we actually hear Venus we'll understand this decision.

If Venus was #1 contender as innovative dance single, what does that say about the rest?.

Are we left with R&B rapper collabs and ballads to squeeze out radio hits?

Because Urban is a genre local to the US

And Applause did how well worldwide?

The song itself is not even that "urban".

APPLAUSE4YOU

All of you negative nancies need to sit your asses down

The people saying Interscope is destroying Gaga's career single by single = overdramatic bipolars people.....Dont forget Interscope are also the same label that gave her 12 top 10 singles (out of 13). Watch those SAME people saying DWUW  is '''slaying''' when it will have a good radio support.......

Also Gaga herself was overwhelmed with the response over the track, it's not like she's crying in a corner begging Interscope to release 'Venus'... She will give it a proper video and performances, she's not the kind to do sloppy promotion for her singles.

:worship:

TeoG, Judas and Applause say hi.

TeoG: really bad video due to rush release

Judas: boring performances

Applause: bad promo.

You could have just quoted me you know :smh:

Of course I'll say it's slaying if it is. But most of the current success is because of the album not DWUW itself. Venus would have had the same success and it already has a video and performance planned out. The plan was good and they should have stuck to it...

The song itself

Then you're f*cking clueless.

It's having a much better reception than Applause everywhere, even from nay-sayers.

Applause didn't have any promo worldwide and it's not a quality club banger as much as We Found Love, Aura and BTW are.

I think we all need to take a deep breath and relax. Venus will have it's time to shine if it's good enough.

keith_caulfield: Proper. RT "@ladygaga …DO WHAT U WANT feat. @RKELLY & are happy to announce it as 2nd Single!"

keith_caulfield: .@LadyGaga's "Do What U Want" seems like an obvious top 10 hit on the @Billboard Hot 100, right? Would be @RKelly's 1st since 2004.

keith_caulfield: "Do What U Want" > "Judas"

He's the co-director of charts at Billboard. Now everyone shut up

this is interscope's decision, not gaga's. there has to be some logic behind why they did this, and it may be something we aren't aware of. calm the **** down. its not even as if DWUW is a bad song, its different for gaga and will bring in a new audience as well as her current one

A Stan Was Born

The Edge of Glory had a terrible video because of Laurieann and Gaga bickering with Joseph Kahn, lets not kid ourselves. The rush release had nothing to do with it.
