When I heard the Applause snippet (Applause applause applause) I was sure we are getting Heavy Metal Lover 2 only more commercial aka probably Gaga's best song, and then What? Pretty sure it begins it begins around November and lasts through until the new year. I mean It is fresh only during the Pre Chorus, THe Chorus is really dated, and the verses are weird (In a good way) So that makes the song good.. but It isn't what I expected to here after I listened to the snippet ... Uncounditionaly will smash. International smile and Birthday are nothing special. Birthday is a better and updated version of LFN and It will slay .... The fact that I expected the single to be platinum after the 2nd week And also It's kinda sad that for Applause's entire chart run there were at least 5 songs that were more popular than It the whole time on both Hot 100 and Radio Songs ... And It's just kinda underwhelming for Lady Gaga... she was never actually overshadowed until with Applause and Roar etc.. But we survived the worst so now let's hope there won't be such meltdowns anymore ! Expectations lead to disappointments! Well, the competition was tough you have to admit.
