Scarface 0
sorry no. it is just that weak besides birthday, Legendary lovers, DH, WOA ..others do not scream hits for me. It is not instant love like TD album I can imagine Legendary Lovers as a single after Unconditionally, then maybe Dark Horse or Double Rainbow and Walking on Air as the final single. Radio will love all this tracks. If all that tracks smash it's not a weak album. If It wasn't for Interscope, Gaga would've been In some bar licking Lady Starlight *** Applause was going to have the perfect start and look what happened U can't be sure If a song will have a good debute or bad .. I'd rather Gaga sell 200k In 3 days (not saying she will but let's wait and see) than 220k In a week being overshadowed by some front loaded **** by JB, 1D and Taylor ... STOP WITH THE MELTDOWNS AND WAIT FOR THE ACTUAL SITUATION TO HAPPEN AND THEN HAVE A MELTDOWN IF IT'S WORTHY OK ? But isn't it much more fun to have a meltdown TWICE ? Mecano 1
And btw... I'm glad with the single earlier release... I ws not hoping for GaGa to smash, at least now I'll have a perfect pop song to dance in just 10 days.

Radio will love all this tracks. If all that tracks smash it's not a weak album. there are lots of fillers though and too many slow songs, not my tea, don't know how the GP will react to the pop princess they prefer. Double rainbow is okay, but definitely not single material. it is even more boring than unconditionally. DH is the obvious choice. WOA did decently. Legendary Lovers is good though. Birthday will smash like how TD smashed. Other than those, i don't see other smashing

Birthday will smash like how TD smashed. Other than those, i don't see other smashing I think with the concept of the majority being slower songs Katy will have a perfect timing because people slowly get a little bit bored with the fast edm-y songs that flooded the radio this year. And Christmas is getting closer
heavymlover 340
I think just the opposite way. Teenage Dream was a lot of crap but 80% of the stuff on Prism sounds pretty decent and radio-worthy Most of her audience is here for her TD stuff though. Of course Prism is going to have some pretty big hits, but overall, it feels like she tried hard to sound more mature and she ended up with a couple of songs that have the same vibe behind and some others that are just plain boring. It definitely has some hit songs, that will be successful simply because they are Katy Perry songs. However, in my opinion Teenage Dream, even with its juvenile and cute songs about cotton candy, sounded more like a hit album. It's like OOTB, a few big hits, but the album is not that good. I'm sure she'll do fine anyway, so there's no reason at all to expect her to flop, because some people are going to have a really bad time dealing with the meltdowns. And about Gaga's early release, it sucks. I guess Interscope wanted to avoid the monday competition, but its first week on Billboard is going to be difficult to watch. I'm not even coming to this thread during Venus' first couple of weeks. I can already see everyone talking about Gaga sabotaging her own career. I'm here for the music anyways, so I'll have a new song to play
