When you look back at her past performances.....2009 VMAS, Brit Awards, etc., they were just so exciting and flawless and iconic. I still get chills when I watch those performances. My two hands down favorite performances of anyone ever. But now, everything just seems so disorganized and chaotic and thrown together. I just want to see more piano performances but given that the theme is ARTPOP, extravagance/art/costumes is key so most of the performances will probably be more "dancey" Either way, her performances slay. nick4bty 2,758 Posted October 13, 2013 Share Posted October 13, 2013 it was a wasted opportunity but probably interscope thought that TF+TFM alread sold well enough so they want to move on already and not milking that era like katy and capitol did with TD. im sad that monster never see the light of being a single. the production was unique at that time and im pretty sure anything gava threw out at that time would be embraced by radio and goes top10. poor monster and Hair being wasted Monster would've been a huge hit. You cannot seriously sit there and tell me any BTW performance even came close to the 2009 VMAS or the 2010 Brits. Like I said, even the worst TFM performances were great. She had a very dark energy, a very mysterious aura about her, so much passion and connection to the performances, and the vocals/choreo/costumes were always spot-on. I miss that. If it wasn't for TFM, I never would've given Gaga a second glance. Those performances made me a stan, and I want to feel that way about her again. Now, I'm just bored. BTW era represented cohesive, excellent performances that in my opinion blended together well. For the performances of TF/TFM, they each involved some new gimmick that really threw me off. But nothing mindblowing. The entire era was consistently good performance wise, but altogether it was a huge tone down from her the standards she previously set. imo.
