PdogtheDaibutsu 717
although I couldn't wait any longer for ARTPOP, Gaga/Interscope couldn't of picked a more competitive release time lol
Jjang 2,262
*How amazing would it be if Gaga actually beats Katy,One Direction and the other lessors? *Okay back to reality,I think Venus HAS a chance of pulling a 200k debut.
Griffin 6
I'll be content if this era fill her WW 6 million - 9 million sales gap. So far she has either had massive smashes (like the 14 million Poker Face), hits like Telephone and Born This Way (both at 9 million) followed by Paparazzi and the like at 5 million. Is there a projected WW sales estimate for Applause? I feel like it's stalled worldwide. I can see it comfortably hitting 3.5 million, before scraping it's way to about 5 million. Check Mediatraffic but keep in mind that the points system they use takes into account radio as well so sales are probably less than the total points the site reports. It's a good estimate though. ELECTRAHEARTPOP 93
plz let Venus be her Just Dance/Poker Face of the ARTPOP era I'd rather Venus be the Venus of the ARTPOP era. My point is I'm fed up of the comparisons. Gaga is an artist that changes and doesn't follow patterns or trends - it's one of the reasons many of us love her. I love seeing her chart movements and celebrating her success, but Applause did very well, and shouldn't be compared to those songs. It was under different conditions and circumstances that those were released. Let's not put down Applause just because it wasn't in the top 10 for 17 weeks and didn't sell 6m worldwide. Jjang 2,262
*I'd be more than satisfied if Venus goes 2.5m-3m in the US and 5m WW,I know my standards are really high but I still believe in her

Griffin 6
applause performance WW has been below its US performance so, definitvely she needs to grab WW attention with VENUS, she needs to grab that WORLWIDE MARKET She needs to grab Japan. Seriously next era I wouldn't even care if she did most promo in Japan, with key radio interviews + award shows in the US and some other worldwide stuff. Work Bitch is dark red. Nothing could save it. If anyone's interested, kworb updated his predictions for this week sales. http://kworb.net/cc/
Griffin 6
Do you guys think the importance of airplay in the billboard chart formula will decrease in the next couple of years, whilst streaming + on demand rises? I was just reading an article on billboard in which a number of music professionals made predictions of the industry in the coming years, one of them was that the second we get Pandora in our cars, radio will be out the window.
