You are judging by that club snippet or you have insiders that sent you song? BTW album and single sold well, Judas flopped due to controversy yet she rebounded with TEOG and Y&I. Since MTN flopped, therefore most people don't even have it bought and barely remember it, how could the era have harmed her in terms of Applause sales? There is a lot of BS and myths about this. Overeposure? Was from media talking about Gaga from 2009-11. Gaga did not do any more promo than Katy for TD era. Aside from Judas controversy, most of the songs were pretty tame. It's just production on Judas and MTN was too noisy for radio, and not enough people liked her country-rock sound on Yuyi. IMO, Applause really isn't a strong earworm on first listen but really grows over time, which would help explain it's longevity. If Venus' hooks really hit you on first listen, it could match or even outperform Applause's debut sales.
