Luc 4,775
I don't think she will risk again different time of single and video release. SHE MUST GET THAT NUMBER 1. She doesn't have to! Look at TeoG, it did amazing and didn't even reach #1.
Mariano 958
The video must come 2 weeks after the song ... There is no point In front loading the song just for the sake of number 1, and It won't even reach It... 300k and Gaga's kinda of streaming is not enough for number 1... she needs at least 400k + a lot more streaming than she usually has .. Dangerous Man 9,245
Woow, I never thought you guys are planning Venus to get that #1 on its first week. Kinda hard to get but lets see if Gaga can make it. We will def. get those views if it'll be filmed in outer space. She doesn't have to! Look at TeoG, it did amazing and didn't even reach #1. + The Fame Monster doesnt have a #1 single and #1 the album itself but we know how great is that era. ;) "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." Magoo 6
Acc. to Magoo we just need 75K first day sales to hit number 1 if the #1 song is selling 50K daily so yeah! By the maths for itunes, if the #1 song is selling 50K/day, yes a new song will need to sell 75K over its first day (i.e. 3.12K/hour) in order to reach #1 on itunes (at the end of the first day). However, a sudden sale of 50K by a new song (i.e. by a pre-order delivery) will be sufficient for the new song to match #1 momentarily, although it will decline quickly thereafter. The rate of decline on itunes if there are no new sales after the preorder delivery is about 4.5% per hour so that after a day there remains 1/e (e the mathematical constant) or about 36.8% left. Sirens more or less did that.
Paper Gangsta 6,693
Aren't Taylor, 1D and Justin releasing that week too? Gaga is relasing day before. Hurry find another excuse cause you can't just agree Gaga will do fine
Foivos 64
1. Agreed, it has a better chance when released at night. 2. Not very likely, Applause, the lead single, sold 218k in its first 6 days. I doubt the second single which is much less anticipated would sell 1,5x better first week. 3. 10 million US streams first day is nearly impossible, Applause got about 2~3 mil US streams first day. 4. Radio deal is almost certain, and even without a radio deal it would get more than 30 mil AI first week. I'd say 50~70 mil AI first week would be much better. 5. Dont worry about Unconditionally: it's not hitting #1 in its first weeks 6. Long time to go Yes.. Applause was very anticipated... because it was released 1 week before official release and was first song after 1,5 year of media blacout. GP is here for Gaga again after Applause. At least it might pull a Heartbreaker longevity at #1. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

Stop overestimating Gaga's power with 'the GP' and all. It's not happening, Gaga and Interscope need to work to make something smash. We overestimated Gaga's power with Applause and thought it'd sell at least 350-500k first week and look what happened. Also stop the obsession with 'The GP'. If they like a song, they illegally download it and some of them buy it. Yes, Applause was way more anticipated than Venus. The lead single of ARTPOP was one of the most anticipated singles of 2013.
