I dunno, I haven't heard a good ballad for ages. JGMAR comes to mind only. Oh, and Wreckin Ball currently (I don't consider Diamonds a good ballad ). The charts this year were filled with Wake Me Up, Blurred Lines, Get Lucky and the other songs I heard a lot were La La La, We Can't Stop. The biggest songs were always non-ballads. We Can't Stop/GL/Wrecking Ball are all mid tempo, and Ooh La La had an awful chart performance, and no impact at all. There hasn't been a typical DANCE DANCE smash in a LONG time.
