I love how pressed Gaga has her own fanbase. It's hilarious. I also love how every time there's an announcement about the album, one of my first reactions is, "is she trolling?"

Anyway, I'm ready for the second single. I know Applause is still rising, and that's great, but its sales given its amount of exposure aren't mega-amazing. They're very solid, but she needs to go into the album release with FRESH buzz. Give Applause around two more weeks, and then unleash a second single.

Why are people complaining? (looking at some of the posts from 15 pages ago)

Applause had legs, moreso than practically all of her BTW singles (sans TEOG) with minimal promo, I'm actually really pleased :psyduck:

Yep.

I very clearly remember Judas jumping from around #28 to #11 on iTunes when the video dropped, but it was too late because radio had already started to abandon the single. It really could have had a chance.

OMG I feel so pressed for Judas now

Yeah, I think there's a chance (not a guarantee, but a chance) that Judas would have rebounded. There were small signals pointing that way. But ultimately they *did* make the right decision: it would have been horrible for the album to be launching with a single that was literally holding on for dear life. Killing it in favor of TEOG was much better for the whole campaign, I think.

Judas was doing great WW though ,its actually a bigger hit than TEOG in many countries. They messed up 2 of my favorite singles then and damaged the potential of both. This was probably my only meltdown from the BTW era along with TEOG video. The video has grown on me a lot since then but I can't forget the Judas - TEOG messed release...

Judas was already a top 10 hit though so this is jot what I seek. What it could have managed was to end up selling much better, Mayne even close to 1.5M in the US in the long run.
