A promo single and promo in Machete Kills is the best thing that could happen to this song. It cant beleive some people want this song as the second single ! She just got her radio power back, it's not the time to mess it up again... If you don't like it then that's fair enough (like Americano), but if you like the song and STILL don't want her to release, then you need help. You don't get anywhere in life by not taking chances. If our next biggest worry is Applause dropping out of the TOP 8 after almost 2 consecutive months, clearly Applause is a hit. lol. I can't believe that promo deal with iHeartRadio AND ClearChannel. Amazing. Interscope ain't messing around with floppy radio stations this time. Getting all dat support. I love it. Next week is gonna be so huge. FACT. Yeah it's literally the perfect promo single. Sales are pushed by controversy and word of mouth, and Burqa will more than likely have this on its side. And being connected to Machete Kills, plus with the album cover (and probably tracklist) release, I wouldn't be surprised if it outsold Applause's first week sales. FACT. Honestly, it all boils down to the fanbase being scarred over Judas & the BTW era overall. People are scared of her releasing controversial songs because of that traumatic experience. I honestly think Aura wouldn't do that bad, it has a catchy chorus & it deals with s-x. If the fact that burqa is such a big deal, the worse that'll happen is it getting bleeped. FACT. I think 'Aura' is okay, but it just WON'T fit the radios and it will be totally ignored. I'm not saying she must absolutly release the most generic crap song all the time to be played everywhere ... but it's fine when she can get radio support while having her own sound (See 'Applause') She took 'chances' by releasing 'Judas' and 'Marry the Night' and those caused meltdowns in here for at least 2 years. ***and just to be clear, I think releasing 'Aura' as a promo single is amazing :) I just dont want it to be the full second single Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
