Apparently Applause was the most requested song on OHP last night. Weird that they haven't played it yet tonight.

They maybe thought it was only a fan spam. :ohno:

and yes I believe also that Mirrors will be big on the grammys next year, so happy to choose this as my most fave song of the year.

For the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards, albums must be released between Oct. 1, 2012 and Sept. 30, 2013

Hopefully Applause gets a nom somewhere. Looks like we'll have to wait next year for an AOTY nom and a SOTY/ROTY.

JGMAR will be Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if Mirrors sweeps the Best Pop Solo, ROTY, and SOTY categories. Can't really see anything else being as big of a contender.

Oh yes. I always forget that JGMAR is a duet. If that's the case, then Timberlake and Bruno Mars would be battling it out in a very close fight.

If nominated, Applause has a very good chance of winning the music video award. Unless JGMAR takes that one.

The question:

Did interscope sent Applause to the academy tho?

Let's hope they did. Having a nomination would be logical for her to pull a performance spot next year. Though, even if she doesn't, I can still see her performing. The GRAMMYs is a great platform to boost sales for either a new or old song. I hope they wouldn't waste that opportunity.

I feel like the track list would generate some online buzz and give Applause a boost on iTunes and radio

I hope so, or else we'll hunt Interscope forever. :miley:

Applause is currently 49 days into its release and is #6. Born This Way, at this point in its release was at #10.

It's really holding on.
