This reminds me of an unironically phenomenal book I read a few years ago on a whim … Spoiler https://archive.org/details/howtobuilduniver0000beng Your question reminded me of an excerpt where the author explains that, even though he is a scientist, he realizes that it is nothing short of a miracle that you (the reader) have made it through the history of the universe to be where you are at present, reading his book … but/and/so at some point from that position he mentions that we (humans) are effectually, star matter / stellar debris … and that we share 90% (I think?) CHON matter with said stars (Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen) I‘m going off of general memory, so these facts might be somewhat elastic as I‘ve described them … but the book has the actual factuals … anyhaps, just a random reference for further reading!

SleepingSun 1,799
Fascinating, I was under the impression the human eye cannot perceive green stars, as stars emit a spectrum of colors that mix together in different ways depending on their composition, mass and heat. Actually, our sun could be considered a green star, as its peak spectrum is in the green area. But since to the human eye, all these color spectrums mixed together appear white, we cannot perceive the green light. Our atmosphere breaks the sunlight, so the it can appear either white, yellow, orange or red, depending on the suns position. The sky is blue because its specific composition of gases scatters the suns blue light. Keep in mind, though, those green stars are basically dead. They are so called white dwarfs, stars similar to our sun that already burned through their fuel, expanded massively in size, then ejected their outer layer to only leave behind the hot, bright core glowing with the residue heat until one day they will cool down and the light will disappear.
