Bye 3,947
I'm not fussed about the lack of linearity, I just wish the side quests had been more interesting, more work could have gone into the main story too. I mean the world is huge and beautifully crafted but some of the areas have very little to do in them. Plus so much work must have gone into filling the Hinterlands with useless side quests, it just seems a but like a waste. I think those 2 are related tbh. BioWare's side quests usually are connected to the main story somehow or are at least far more interesting and cinematic (remember the quests in DA2 following Feynriel? That was far more interesting than the useless quests in DAI). With such an open world and lack of linearity they put a lot of their focus on making a beautiful big world and there just wasn't as many resources left to fill it with something interesting. For all the flack DA2 got I still remember certain side quests like that blood mage in the brothel who tries to mind control you and your companions. Apart from the main quests I honestly thing DAI is empty of life.
Sugar Free 5
i am the only one who bothered by lack of cutscenes?the sidequests would be alot more enjoyable if they did have cutscenes.

No, you're not. I'm bothered by it too, usually BioWare games were so cinematic which gave even random side quests a sense of importance. Now that they got their engine ready for future games I hope they make more effort in making interesting and more cinematic side quests and less effort at making huge stretches of land filled with absolutely nothing of interest. Hellspont 1,468
Origins is still the best DA game imo, Inquisition is a strong second though. The open areas and characters were 10/
Bye 3,947
Origins is still the best DA game imo, Inquisition is a strong second though. The open areas and characters were 10/10 Although I would say if DA2 did not have the reused environments I'd put it at the top. And also, if DA: Inquisition had more cinematic dialogue (like all previous BioWare games), less filler quests, i'd put it at the very top.
Manul 7,377
I chose to ignore this game for a long time when it got released, in hopes that modding might just make it in. And apparently it hasn't. What a massive disappointment, this game (like any other massive RPG) has so much modding potential. I recall playing DA:O several times because of mods, even with it's terrible combat gameplay. And I was so looking forward to DA: I and mods but nope, EA/Bioware **** it up once again. it wasn't laaaahv
