gagabro 268
Ugh they make it sound like Teenage Dream sold better than BTW... which technically it didn't until the re-release with Part of Me + Wide Awake. BTW > Teenage Dream

LetsGetHigh 52,683
What the OP is trying to say that is Katy might have won in the singles department but albums wise Gaga TRIPLED Katy. And 'won' is a wrong choice of words, more like did better. + Let us not forget that Teenage Dream had a re-release The Complete Confection

AURA 2,890
Okay, still the point is that Gaga's a much stronger albums seller. That was my point

Samuel 3
This era is selling really badly so far… Nope. Justin Timberlake's last album was selling at just about the same amount, and it ended up doing 900k + first week out. These are VERY promising numbers. Redstreak 6,653
The numbers we've seen so far beg to differ, unfortunately. The sales for the lead singles, particularly the first-week sales, are usually driven by the fanbase. Those numbers could actually hint us on the size of their respective fan bases right now, well at least in the US. Needless to say, all eyes would be on their respective opening weeks once Prism and ARTPOP are released later this year. Only then we could find out who's really out for a massive era. Anyway, this news is only an indication that Gaga's an album-mover than a single-seller, a notion already widely accepted by almost everyone, including her harshest critics. You also had more fan bases besides Katy's rushing to buy Roar over Applause. Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
