Aura - love it, it's just a crazy Judas-like Gaga song MANiCURE - super pop song, likely to be a single, adore it ARTPOP - a nice song, something like SHICD, it's a mid-tempo and I like it too(also, it's emotional if you ask me) Swine - I so badly want this to be a single, it's just flawless! I wanna be with you - this is a song FOR US, the fans, and very nice lyrics too Sex Dreams - loving this song too, like Love Game #2, very s-xy, high vocals, dancing love it! I am sad that people weren't floored like I was, I didn't say you have to like it. But insulting Gaga like that - I am legit still confused on how Gaga supposedly being haunted by past demons could turn you off the performance - and doing the high expectations schtick kind of diminishes the whole humble "I don't mean to be negative" veneer to the first post. Regarding the demon things, I don't quite understand either ,I'll be honest, kind of random of him. And c'mon almost everyone has high expectations to some degree when it comes to new music of an artist. I think it's best not to have any expectations, and percieve the works of art on their own...however..He did not choose to negative, as he doesn't seem to be bashing Gaga for the sake of bashing her, just obviously the music did not resonate with him. His phrasing is understandable enough. But you have got to understand, his post was simply his expression of disinterest in her new music. Yeah, Aura, ARTPOP and Swine are good, but they're not ground-breaking/grammy-worthy like some of the fans here are making it out to be. To be honest, my stan card isn't really active right now. I wasn't mindblown by Applause, and these new songs, they aren't making me hooked like how I felt on my first listen on BTW album, so yeah, I could understand your feelings on them. :) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

He kind of made it clear in the first post. Man. IT's amazing how Gaga preaches respect, yet some of her fans can't seem to understand you don't just lend respect and acceptance to those who share your opinions, but people who don't share your opinions as well.. Some of yall, and not specifically talking to you, but just some of you guys really idolize her like she is God, and condemn people who dislike anything she does. Of course she's not going to be able to satisfy everybody at every given second. she is not perfect. And she is not a socially perfect musician. IT happens. So when people are displeased with things she does, let it be. This is a forum to express your opinions, and if you can't handle some people's opposing opinions, then simply ignore them or get off. Stop acting like your opinion is the quintessential one. Thanks for your support, but no need to worry, or to defend me...I was a bit harsh and I knew I was being harsh, so I expected some blowback, but it was just my honest opinion. I mean no disrespect to Gaga, and I will still listen to all of her other albums like a crazy person, as I have been doing for years. People will disagree with me, as I obviously disagree with them. And if they don't like what I said or think I'm being a jerk, that's OK. If someone would've written something like this during BTW, I probably would've had a similar reaction, because I loved that album so much. Shadow 6,630 Posted September 2, 2013 Share Posted September 2, 2013 I'm finding myself enjoying her new work. It sounds fresh, different, and not coming off awkward at all like I felt in 2011. It flows the way music should. I like how she has various flavors on this album, really mixing it up. Not coming down on her previous work. She definitely had great music before and the new stuff seems fresh and fun, at least from the live versions. Everyone is entitled to their view of course. :adam: Do your own research. Nothing to do with respect because as many here can tell you, I have the utmost respect for intelligently laid-out and well-phrased views even if I'm the complete opposite in conviction. No biggie, Gaga's gonna grow and not everybody's gonna like what she does. But to say she's basically an empty shell who wrote her most awful lyrics ever and was really sad and thus did not top her past stuff in the very least and ohmygodihadtowaitsolongforthis? Eh, no. I respect their not liking it, I seriously cringed at the way it was expressed. That's it. I might have exaggerated, looking back at my first post (I apologize too the OP if it was just too much, I'm in a lot of pain today which is not an excuse but anyway) but I did not mean anything other than what I said in my former post: I'm sad it didn't resonate, and please do not act as if it's the worst music that has ever been produced in the history of music. "I didn't like the production of x because it had a lot of y and z" tells us more than mere complaints and exaggerations. The Jewels N' Drugs lyrics make no sense to me at all. :toofloppy: And she seems really obsessed with s-x (which is fine I mean I love Government Hooker, HML, etc.) but I wish she talked more about idk something else? One thing I loved about TFM and BTW is she tackled different topics in one album. Like TFM had the different vices of fame in each song, and in born this way it was about people's rights, s-x, her love of her fans, etc. If she's going to a new direction that's fine, just lyrically I felt like she was more mature during other eras. I enjoyed her lyrics for I wanna be with you, that song was raw and very touching, I really loved it. It reminded me of Princess Die. <3 Anyways she is saving the best for last, so I'm still excited. I'm not taking it personal, but it's the idea that "I'm a fan and I must like everything" that leads to overly harsh criticisms and people acting like spastic children immediately Gaga doesn't meet their expectations, case in point, this thread. If people just learnt to accept that they don't have to like everything and get over it, it all be so easy.
