As far as I can tell, MTV's HD channel is not broadcasting the show in surround sound. I'm going to wait and see if I can catch Gaga's performance when they re-air the show, hoping by some slim chance that they do a surround mix for the second broadcast. If not, I am really sorry and wish that I could have ripped the surround channels for you guys. :( Don't worry! Although it does say it's 5.1 audio on my guide, the only thing it's really useful for is separating the channels. Getting this in 1080i is perfect.
