I don't like Ed's new single but i'm glad it's gonna go #1 (so it's looking) cos' it gives hope for the music industry..

Literally a 3rd single going number 1 that wasn't on pre-order?? and from a massive selling album?

It's amazing <3 he's 4th and 5th single should do amazing too :)

He's gonna get so many album sales now :D - promo did good :)

I can't believe how desperate Clean Bandit are for another hit by featuring Jess Glynne again and putting the single up for pre-order. At least some one hit wonders repeat their features with the next album, but not a random standalone single release when their current album was only released a few months ago! I thought even the industry was catching on that re-hashing a formula that produced a hit in the past is no guarantee of a hit in the future.

As for 1989 predictions, I'm saying 50k-70k, up from my original prediction of about 40k before SIO really showed its longevity. I really don't expect much higher and by the way sales are going, it's going to be lucky to even do this well. So many big hit singles this year did not produce hit albums. Despite occupying the #1 and #2 spot on the biggest selling singles of the year list, consecuitive weeks at #1 and hitting the 1 million sales mark, Pharrell's and Clean Bandit's first week (and overall) album sales were appalling. Ella Henderson's album underperformance has shocked me despite her having one of the biggest hits of the year and so much promotion. The fastest selling female album of the year was by a 36-year-old X Factor winner, with 67,000 debut sales. If that's the best women could do this year, even with hits, I don't hold out much hope for Taylor.

To be fair, clean bandit are trying not to only be remembered for Rather Be

I'd say taylor could come close to 100K, but won't go any over. I think if anything 1989 will be in the top 10 list (next year), I can see this album having **** loads of longevity.

I think either 50-70k and long chart life or 80/90K less longitivtiy

Where do you guys think Cheryl's "I Don't Care" will chart? it's currently at #165 on pre-orders

it's released 2nd November and on the same day has a promo slot (performance) on the X Factor :D

If it get's to number 1 she'll break a record but i forgot which one?? i think it will get #3 - #4 maybe #2 because All About That Bass and Thinking Out Loud are still slaying at #2 and #1 ...
