I have to say, some of you were quite mean-some for no reason (and for that I just feel sorry for you that you have to stoop so low and pick on others for your own minor enjoyment) and others were constructively mean in hopes that I would not attempt a music career. I applaud those of you that saw past the mediocre, 16-year-old half confident teens vocals in the video and saw the production as a whole because that was the goal always. Still to this day I can't believe I was able to crowdfund and put together that big of a production in the same neightborhood that asiel hardison grew up in. I have to say, getting recognition from Gaga (publically and via email) and Gaga's parents restaurant workers (including Joe and Cynthia according to their old manager) was amazing. To walk in and have the whole crew at Joanne know who I am because you guys made it a meme just was heartwarming. The perks of "bad press" I guess LOL. Vice.com wrote an amazing article on it and I live for it: this-kid-recreated-an-entire-lady-gaga-concert It makes me smile when I feel sad sometimes. But it in all, this "stupid" video is the very thing that gave me the confidence to go out and do whatever my heart desired. Granted, I prefer to stick to the songwriting part of music, I do enjoy the occasional vocal class here and there. Therefore, the BTWBC gave me the platform which recognized me to brands. It gave me a platform as a creator and a small source of income that helped me get into the college I'm now attending and graduating from next year. And when I started my studies in Film and Tv production, I had views, press, and a small set of followers who supported all the endeavors I've been on for 7 years which put me YEARS ahead of my peers. So thank you all indirectly of course Finally, @LG thank you for the kind words. Although I'm still your average 20 year old who works for a marketing company, goes to school full time for Film and Video, I've had the honor to meet so many influential YouTube creators, tv hosts, directors, etc all whom which influenced my life in many different ways. But the most powerful thing I took away from "kids" writing hate on forms, sending me death threats, and writing mean comments on my YouTube videos is that LOVE is so much more powerful than hate. So, I used my platform to do something amazing. I WROTE A BOOK to empower others to LOVE THEMSELVES for who they are, no matter who they love, wanna be, etc. thank you all for making fun of me because you inspired me to fight to inspire others to take that negative energy and make it positive. You can find out more about my book here: http://bit.ly/selfielovebookKS Or my documentary: thank you kindly for letting my plug some positive things. Be kind to others cuz it just might change the world ️ peace, love, and positivity -Eddie Oliver Smith I just wanted to say that I loved the Born This Way Clone! It was honestly so cool and I'm soooo jealous that you got to do it! I'm glad that you were able to see past the hate, most of those people commenting hate (including people here) would most likely be jealous of you, because they know they don't have the confidence to do what you did.
