Thus, it is gaining large amount of views throughout the week because GP only watch the video while they browse the youtube while stans/fans will watch on first day it will have more than 50m for first week Yes, Katy's stan base might be small, but they're not lazy. Katy's first week-sales were impressive and I think that more than half of them were driven by fans. WB has the potential to become bigger hit than WCS. Yes, it does. If we look at Miley's/her team's decisions it's actually very interesting to see how this era is being handled. Everyone expects her to release a dubstep-ish song that will bomb the clubs, then she comes with We Can't Stop. Then, for the 2nd single, everyone expects her to have a pop-dance song or a dubstep song, but she releases Wrecking Ball, a ballad produced by Dr. Luke. She does 2-3 performances in the US, then lets the song do on it own.. until she goes to the VMAS - where she peaks in popularity and has a bigger peak than Lady Gaga's. The backlash is huuuuge, but, as the 2nd single is released, it looks like it was worth it and didn't damage her sales' power nor her streaming. Impressive lol, so u mean she chose sales over dignity? Mnah people will say this to bash her. Every popstar has to do something scandalous to be popular. Ever since I've been able to withstand Madonna's Erotica era nothing shocks me. All these things are really basic. Everybody's trying to do something revolutionary while they are all the same. Sex doesn't sell as much as it used to. on topic: How's Applause doing? Any chances of getting into the top 5 next week? As for Applause - it just got a red update, but it's not that bad, Eminem can't hurt her at this point. #3 on HOT 100 , yes it is delusional at this point, but TOP 5 isn't out of the question... It got a red update after 48 hours of only positive updates. However, it's close to pass Wake Me Up! I think that #3 is kinda delusional at this point, because of ROAR/Royals/Wrecking Ball. It'll stay inside the top5 for at least 2 more weeks, though. I honestly don't know what to predict about radios anymore... The only thing I know is that the single will have frontloaded first week sales, then it'll be hard to keep it, but if she promotes it she still has chances (but that's not gonna happen so ) Hmmmm... I think she is awful there but seems that it is working for her, so good for her. . Except for Katy tho. I never heard an scandal from her yet people still buy her stuffs. She's expecting the highest momentum in her career where she gained 60% more sales just from a music video. It is good for Applause I think ? Roar's #1 expose will fade and gap between these songs will be smaller and smaller. Wrecking Ball has a very very video but song is decent (Better than Brave rip-off mess for me) and gap between Wake Me Up and Applause is incredible small 0.0373 so I am hoping that Wake me Up decrease harder so we will be celebrate 4pplause again - Wait a second !
