Americano 31,061
No shes not. Her singles were always huge. lol. Gaga is the one different.
nick4bty 2,758
I've almost heard Roar as much as I've heard Wide Awake. It's definitely not good when you're brand new single sounds as dated (if not more dated) as your 2-3 year old singles. You cant really say that again rn. Katy is now different from before. How is Katy any different? She's the same pop b---h she was in 2010. Absolutely no growth or evolution in the slightest.
Dangerous Man 9,245
Prism might be her most successful album to date. U guys r underestimating Katy again. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
Arturo 40,746
Gaga IS definitely different in terms of her success. Her lead singles must climb to be hits, and won't smash right off the bat. Like I said during the meltdowns weeks ago, she's turning into a Rihanna/Bruno-type artist with her LEAD singles.
pie-kun 1,765
Tours are much more about an artist's reputation as a performer than how many hit singles they have. Beyonce and Gaga have massive tours because they have built a reputation of excellent, noteworthy performances that are not only appealing vocally but visually as well. I like Katy's music, but I have seen enough vocally disastrous performances from her to know that I wouldn't want to spend any significant amount of money on a concert ticket. She didnt have a big hit in UK before but look at her lead rn in UK itunes, incredible. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." I honestly don't think that's such a bad thing tbh. I like it more than just an instant hit. The song doesn't get as old quickly! Roar is already so old I know many people who loved it and now switch it every time it comes on the radio. Roar sounds SO DATED
