netoschultz 0
US radio hasn't consistently supported any dance artist in 2 decades, the way they've supported Mariah or Pink or Katy whether the song was good or mediocre. Look at Britney (or Madonna and Kylie) 10 years ago. Or Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO's failure to follow up massive success in 2009 and 2011. Or Guetta's spotty success compared to Europe. I remember when Titanium flopped in the radios in USA R.I.P. Here in Brazil.. its one of the biggest hits of the decade
craig 680
She's having a good weekend because its being played at clubs.. It happened every weekend so far. Avicci has been #1 on dance club play charts 2 weeks running, yet hasn't gained on Gaga lately.
Americano 31,061
I think gaga should stop with dance music in the next album, USA aren't supporting her and probably with the next singles the situation will be worse. Sex Dreams doesn't sound like tough banging dance music
SteCola 0
Sex Dreams doesn't sound like tough banging dance music I think it is, the i tunes festival version is different, but she said thet the full album is electronic/dance music.. Britney had great radio hits during Femme Fatale though, maybe Gaga can pull that on her next singles. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." Americano 31,061
Avicci has been #1 on dance club play charts 2 weeks running, yet hasn't gained on Gaga lately. Because they're both benefiting from it? You can even look 24 hours ago. When those people wake up the next day, they both get small iTunes boosts. I've been going out a lot lately, I know they're playing both songs heavily at clubs. I don't care what that fake/random chart says. Half the songs that top that I've never even heard in a club I think it is, the i tunes festival version is different, but she said thet the full album is electronic/dance music.. D: She said TF was a dance record too and it still had songs like Paparazzi on it
Harry 26,836
You can hear some electronic elements in Sex Dreams, like the chorus. I can imagine that part especially being pretty electronic on the studio. But it's still not a dance song really.
Hypocrateen 107
Ok fine. We're floppin'.... WHY JHONY YOU WERE BEING SO POSITIVE LATELY WHY
craig 680
yeah. Britney had great radio hits during Femme Fatale though, maybe Gaga can pull that on her next singles. Yet the album sold less than Beyonce's which didn't produce a top 10. Radio is becoming less dominant than previous. They didn't make hits, they play them after they emerge. netoschultz 0
Like someone said in ATRL..Judas Judas with that good video.. second single after a huge sucess.. very very very very high promo.. barely stand in TOP 10 If Applause is stable at Top 10.. the problem in Radio is not with the people asking for it
MonsterOfSpain 8,320
Like someone said in ATRL..Judas Judas with that good video.. second single after a huge sucess.. very very very very high promo.. barely stand in TOP 10 If Applause is stable at Top 10.. the problem in Radio is not with the people asking for it But I understood radios not playing Judas, although it was stupid for me, but now? Applause is a song made for the radio, gosh. I'm surprised at how radios in Spain are playing the song more than in the US. Gaga even send a recording of herself "Hi pequeños monstruos, this is Lady Gaga and you're listening to my new single Applause on...".
Dangerous Man 9,245
I think radio still help artists to sell their stuff. Just a bonus though so whatever their preferences are. :ohwell: "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
Fizzy 2,217
I though Applause reached top 10 in NZ and it was always top 10 for two weeks on iTUNES, always higher than Australia, It's number 12 on the official NZ chart. “The scars on my mind are on Replay”
GagaMyBlood95 9,915
I think that Applause would do so much better if it was released a bit early, like in 2012! I think it was made for that year, and now, there are really no other song like it in TOP 10 so the radio's not feeling it and so they don't play it...Such a shame

I don`t think Applause is a kind of song that is very receiving by the radios.. I think the success of Applause will be based on Internet and TV (with performances and video clip being played)
