I'm still waiting for a valid discussion,You either just call it a flop as if its a fact or just call me delusional and laugh away.

I still stand by my point,2 million copies after over 30 years of career&no promotion is not a flop.

Especially how older artists have trouble selling these days because of the digital era too.

Right, because 3 singles with music videos, multiple interviews, a tour with 2 mil attendance and the Super Bowl is nothing

Super Bowl give it her a good start. But we know how good the album and her singles were. She didnt make more promotion for her last 3 albums and things didnt went so low.

The 30 years career is not an argument. Confessions on a dancefloor slayed and sold a lot. That makes it a succes, not that was made by somebody who had 25 years in the business. As I said. If you dont want to call it a flop, say that MDNA is the biggest underperformed album in Madonna career.

Also, the older artists should have the advantage  that most of their public is also a little more old ( and with more money than teenagers) and maybe dont use the Internet as much as other fanbases. Why do you call that a disvantage? Nobody stop them to buy the psychal album, but actually a lot of them were kinda forces to buy the album with the tickets for the tour.

Confessions had huge promotion and so did Hard Candy  :smh:

The single success was bigger in S&S and Confessions too

Were? Confessions had MTV EMA and Grammy Awards. That is lower than Super Bowl audience with a lot.

The singles succes were bigger because the songs were better.

Interviews and performances EVERYWHERE around the world, and the promotion wasn't PRE era it was during the era itself.

Promotion is pretty much single success, single success is meant to boost album sales and give the album more exposure,MDNA's singles all flopped, yet it still managed to sell 2 million copies.

Britney with a couple of hits sold less than that.

Also the market was way too different 8 years ago so don't compare.

So Madonna doesnt have the same power as 8 years ago? Wasnt her biggest advantage that she can adapt to new times?
