Dont you think its much easier to sell digital single online for like $1 than a CD single for about $5-10 ? More people actually know who Shakira is, than who Lady Gaga is. Yes Gaga had more success with singles BUT Shakiras impact is bigger. WHat? Shakira wasnt big in the USA / Australia ?! She sold over 15,000,000 album copies just in the USA! She was huge also in Australia (more than 1,000,000 albums sold).No Shakira's impact isn't bigger. There noone under the age of 50 that hasn't heard of Lady Gaga. And not only in Europe & Latin America. As I said she sold more albums than Gaga in both Australia & USA, back than she was huge. No Shakira's impact isn't bigger. More people know about Gaga Gaga started her career in 2008, Shakira in 1990, are you sure about that? For example my grandma for sure knows who Shakira is, but she has no idea about Lady Gaga.
