nick4bty 2,758
Ok but Poker Face is not nearly as dirty as Sex Dreams even though it's on the same idea as it. Poker Face is not as blatant with it's lyrical meaning. Like picture mom's singing "when I lay in bed I touch myself and think of you." :toofloppy: I just can't see this song being a big hit with people. Haha. This could be the ultimate MILF song
mrlemon 578
Adding onto this, I think they're best bet right now should be to keep the focus on Applause, but have everything ready to go (music video, performance spots, radio deal, etc.) in case Applause begins to die early, that way they can seamlessly release the secodn single without a big gap between releases. I have a feeling that's what Gaga is planning on doing. They're probably in the early stages already of preproduction for the two music videos. Btrs 10
So what range can we expect Applause to be in Wednesday? 5-7? More like 8-9 tbh. HOWGH and WB will be above Applause next week :P I wouldn't be surprised if it fell out of the top 10 the week after that, with the Brit/Katy/possible JT releases
Dangerous Man 9,245
If Applause is still growing on radio and selling well in mid-October, it would be a huge mistake to put out a second single. Applause is all about getting back radio support - why would Interscope want to kill that with a risky second single? It makes no sense. Now, if it peaks in mid-October, Interscope better be making that second single happen. But right now, there's no telling what will happen. They can't just release a single for the hell of releasing a single. Not to mention, a three month single era is much better in the long run than a 2 month era. The worst mistake they could make right now is cutting Applause short. true dat. I just hope Gaga is in full control by her label. I mean knowing her, she is kinda easily get carried away with her excitement. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

I'm sure of it.

nick4bty 2,758
What do you guys think about Burqa/Aura having so many views on YouTube? An Aura lyric video has 340,000 views, while there are three Burqa videos that have 260k, 340k, and 613k views. And this was a leaked song that was never directly confirmed by Gaga (other than the fact she performed it at the iTunes Fest, lol). Is this another sign that people are here for controversial Gaga? We could look at Judas - poor radio airplay, disappointing sales, but HUGE streaming . . . huge enough that if streaming was included in the chart then, it probably would've hit #1. Arturo 40,746
Although I highly doubt Applause will fall out of the Top 10 next wednesday with new Britney/Katy, she can always reenter as Blurred Lines and Lana become more and more of a non factor. When did streaming start to get incorporated into chart positions? Was it during or after The BTW era? And if Aura is going to become a single, that intro and the way the verses are sung need to change. The chorus is so good but the beginning would turn off listeners. That song was the first thing we heard from ARTPOP so I don't think it's shocking that it has so many views. I mean, there's a Stache video that has 750,000 views. I think Aura would be a disaster as a single.
