And no surprise, they're reluctant to accept her again, even though Applause sounds perfect for Top 40 radio. I mean, it isn't surprising that radio audiences are responding better to Roar, but I just wish they would give both Katy and Gaga an equal chance. Before these two songs, she was Top 40 only, for the most part. So while she gained audience in these formats, she lost it completely in Top 40. And this is a major reason why Marry The Night flopped - this was not a song that Hot AC/AC would ever play, and Top 40 was reluctant to play her after EOG/Y&I underperformed, and it fizzled out early. And sadly,almost 2 years later, we're still seeing the effect. Radio stations are talking about how great it is to have Gaga back, but in reality, they're still reluctant, and it's going to take a lot of positive audience impressions to get them to fully embrace her again. She made the song specifically for radio, it's really just another version of the same overwhelmingly generic Dr.Puke produced mess. It's safe and easy to digest for the average American simpleton. (its ok im american I can say this lol) Gaga could easily be churning out #1 after #1 after #1 if she wanted by sticking with RedOne forever but thankfully she actually likes to explore and be a little risky. She is not a SINGLES artist like the other gurls because she's too busy being ALBUM artist, which is what really matters, financially and artistically. That's why she STILL outsells them with album$ even when her singles dont necessarily ~slay. Is it really that hard to comprehend? I'm sure the radio stations would have played Applause at every top of the hour all day on it's original release date due to deals Gaga and her team probably made with them so that the song would get exclusive play. I bet most of the radio stations still don't have the song due to the rush release, and I bet most stations will start playing her song non-stop to the point where everyone will get sick of it on Monday when her song was suppose to originally be released. The song will go number 1 sooner or later. Until then, shut the f*ck up, and listen to the song, and chill the f*ck out. Enough is enough with most of the bull**** you people say. This! Katy is selling almost double of Gaga in the US and Canada, I don't think she can keep that up for weeks tbh and even if she did, it's only a number #1, quality is more important and Gaga delivered!
