People are only freaking out because of such high expectations. Worse comes to worst it won't be a huge hit, but she's still got 12-14 other tracks on the album that could be

Suuuuuuuuure, because charts and sales don't mattterrr..

They matter only if you only love her for her fame and not her music. So if she is #7 on itunes I should stop listening her because all that matters is FAME?! Not really, I never was the drama queen, I always was the guy who listened and enjoyed her music and supports her everytime!

Zilla

Please Zilla, ban this stupid troll. I dont know how he is still here.

I suggest you all stop posting constant negativity based around the single. Within the next few days we are cranking out a new rule banning perpetual negativity, heads up

ikr. She won't be the only one promoting at the VMA. Of course is her comeback, but the GP clearly prefers Roar, Blurred Lines and We Can't Stop instead of APPLAUSE. I don't expect the VMAs to have a huge impact of the charting of APPLAUSE. Nor the Music Video. The song is not relatable at all. We like it because we are her fans, but we don't have the power to make the song a hit.

We still have a second single after all  :laughga:

Don't get me wrong, I love Applause to death, but maybe the "relatable" argument actually holds some truth. Things were okay when she was at #2 but what happens if/when she falls out of the top 10?

I'm not going to call any final judgements until after the video and the VMA's but she isn't where she should be right now.

David Bowie

I have an actual question tho: what constitutes a song as a flop? I know what it means when a song flops but is there any sort of official "line" it has to cross to actually be considered a flop? i hope i'm making sense now
