It'd be interesting to see how Gaga would do that. kupo 201 Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 EVERY pop star relies on trite, been-there-done-that choreographed dance routines, though. And they're never worth a damn unless the choreo is genuinely remarkable. It's been about 50/50 with Gaga. Bad Romance, Telephone, and Judas--great choreo routines that stand toe-to-toe with the rest of the vids. Marry the Night--it works, but it's hardly the most remarkable part of the vid, and at least there it's part of the narrative. Paparazzi--lamest part of the video. You and I--by far the worst part of the video, and totally unnecessary. It doesn't help that Laurieann, unhealthy as she was for Gaga's overall career, IS a fantastic choreographer, and most of Gaga's routines since her departure haven't quite captured the same magic. And it doesn't help that dancing is the skill that comes LEAST naturally to Gaga. I've always admired her dedication to her routines, but she can't make them look easy, and can't give them the same grace that someone like Beyonce can, or even Madonna in her heyday.
