The first two lines seem to talk about how her critics always complain that her obsession with older artists (nostalgia) is too copycat ish. Meaning that that it's dumb and stupid and thus creating the lyric that it's for "geeks". And the last 2 lines are Gaga's response saying that some people want to relive the past and learn from it. Maybe talking about Born This Way and the reaction to it; some said it was very 80's/too referential (hence: 'nostalgia') and came across as cheesy ('geeks') ; this might be the 'theory' she's referring to. But then she's saying, 'I hear what you're saying but I disagree and some of us like to read (as in read about the past? and learn from it and take what worked and make a modern twist of it?)... I have no idea. You may be right ! She used to talk about reading "Letters To A Young Poet" by Rilke. She reads/used to read it all the time. She even got a tattoo, remember ?
