I read through the plot description, but aliens and thing really don't appeal to me :noparty:

If I end up really liking Coven, then I'll probably watch the first 2 seasons (:

Aliens are not the main plot. You really love all the crazy stuff that happens in the asylum in every chapter and all the great development of the characters.

Lana Banana, Kit, Sister Mary Eunice, Sister Jude and Bloody Face are just  :legend:

It's never stated how they were killed in the vision, just that they did. Madison was strangled, in the vision it had her head hanging over the edge of the second floor with the piece of railing broken right above her neck. Strangled = Broken railing above her neck. Zoe was impaled in the vision, and that's also how she died. Cordelia was shot through the head and Fiona is seen above her, a representation of what Cordelia said in her last conversation with Fiona, "that old part of me will die with you."

ohhh haha! Okay, I get it now! Thanks :P

Coven really is the worst season for me  :eww:

Cordelia crying over Misty, with whom she had little interaction.

Gaining powers all of a sudden and completly mastering them even if she didn't practice

The whole season (except ep 1) was such a let down.  :noparty:

Kindness rules all.

I really really enjoyed this season, it might not be the scariest or most cohesive but I liked it a lot. I think it was more dark humor than horror this season, but I don't think they all need to be gorey or scary.

The first season scared the **** out of me tbh, I wasn't used to scary shows. That man in the rubber suit thing freaked me the hell out though lmao. I never finished the second season, I want to watch it all over again tbh.

I think the problem with this season is that almost nothing at all happened in the during the first 2/3rds of the season, then a lot happened in the last episodes, so everything happened really fast and the character and plot development felt rushed.

Something struck me as I was rewatching the finale, did all of those events already happen? Think about it, the whole season was Fiona desperately trying to find a way to keep her powers. What if the entire season was her reliving the moments where she found out she wasn't invincible and was eventually going to lose everything, essentially the entire season was actually taking place in Fiona's version of hell. She woke up right after she died in a bed and acted confused as to where she was with the axeman responding that she does this every morning. If she just died, how could there be an every morning? I believe this season took place after the actual events and was a relive by Fiona. Every night she falls asleep and goes through it as if for the first time, over and over again.

Cordelia interacted with Misty more than anyone, she taught Misty in her botany room.

I understood that in hell you relive the same moment for eternity like you were living it for the first time. So every morning she wakes up thinking she just died.

The whole season (except ep 1) was such a let down.  :noparty:

It was pretty obvious she cried because she let down the coven and one of her students died under her watch. She felt responsible. Wouldn't you cry? It was obvious Cordelia really felt strongly about the coven. Hell, she cut her own eyes out to save it.

No, it was the "power" that sent her to the school to begin with

Suddenly she acquires new powers because a killer vagina isn't needed to be the Supreme and it wasn't mentioned after the 4th episode once they knew where they wanted to go

Except it was already set up that they got new powers and their powers amplified because they're witches, growing, and "it's not uncommon for a witch to show 3 or even 4 powers", especially in crises or when the supreme amplifies theirs by suppressing hers, which Delia did.

And her killer vagina was the power of a succubus, but she pretty much got the short end of the stick with it. Most powers are not related to being the Supreme. Think Queenie, or even Nan's power, which wasn't Divination. Some witches have powers with no relation to the 7 wonders, and they can develop other ones as well. Thankfully Zoe's fate was to end up with Kyle, who can't die because of her power.

I don't think the fact that they didn't deal with the power in the way that some people wanted them to was a flaw on their behalf. It was clear where they wanted to go with the show, just look at the title cards and theme. The entire season is about mother's and daughters, so naturally Delia became the supreme.

I keep wanting to guess what the theme of the next season will be, especially after Ryan Murphy said no one guessed.

"My people… need to let our bitchiness out. Otherwise, it turns to bile and poisons us"

In another interview he said he has S5 planned already because it's nothing like what they've done yet and will take time to figure out

Because Cordellia  was like the only one with "heart". I don't think she was crying because she loved her or something but because she was part of the coven and Cordellia is really protective for the coven.

If the new season is around the 50s could it be the Roswell incident?

That would be amazing! I think they said they were planning to shoot in New Mexico as well. I'm hoping they can further expand on those aliens from Asylum.

I'm also hoping they incorporate the Red Scare and McCarthyism along with some Rosewell stuff if this is true. 1950's America is an interesting time period in history.
