well the instrumental is practically drum beats, and gaga probably wanted to use the drum beat, this is a demo anyway, we should all just wait and see... who knows! maybe this whole time at their show they were playing gaga's instrumental track?

Guys. Seriously it's just one song.

I love the song. But Gaga always talks about how involved she is when she creates music. I expect more from her and I am disappointed that she used an instrumental from another song and layed her vocals and melody on top of it.

One. Song.

That doesn't suddenly mean she's not actively involved in the creative process, or that she "is a half fake songwriter."

Because she uses ONE instrumental doesn't mean she is less involved.

The world is not ending.

Just be happy we got music right now

That's true, but are you saying that the creation of the instrumental was easier? :wtfga:

No, but but I'm ok with Gaga being responsible for the melody over the chrods "ONLY". And that's A LOT artistically speaking

And she must have been doing it for a while. Remember for Marry The Night? She said something like "when Fernando played those bells I started singing over them and created ter verses for marry the night right there". I think it's pretty normal for producers to create the chords + instrumental.

If only all popstars created their own melodies... :classy:

Maybe the music will be different? Cause this is a demo after all. Maybe she just recorded her parts over this (like Stache) but has worked on it more since then and changed things up.

I do understand your point and yes it is a bit disappointing.

How am I supposed to know what gaga means that co-producing? :deadbanana:

:laughga:

Sorry.

Well in my ideas, when she says coproducing... Well, think about my RedOne example. Scheisse and JLo's Live It Up. Would you think they were by the same person?

No. Because one of them is a collaboration with Gaga, one's not; she changes the style of who she produces with. If RedOne had done Scheisse on his own, it would've sounded like his production.

This song clearly sounds like Infected Mushrooms and Zedd, which shows that her input was minimal in the instrumental (especially since the instrumental is just ported over).

I hope you understand what I'm saying now? :)

I feel the same.

We'll see, as it's a demo it's... I don't know.

3 points in and ready for more

I hate to be a pain in the ass. I love the song, I really do! But using an already existing instrumental (not just sampling but taking it as it is and putting it in a song) feels a bit...

I hope the album version is different.

On the other hand, this might be original music and the Infected Mushroom just happened to play it at one of their concerts (the way Zedd did with Marry the Night remix before the BTW premiere).

What if they were aware it might be used for Burqa and they tried it out to see how the public would respond?

There's also a sample of Madeon's Icarus in Aura, so don't worry

First of all it's a demo. We don't know what's changed(probably not much though tbh).

But second of all, the most surprising thing about this thread is that people actually thought she produced her own music

She isn't a producer and never has been. Why do people believe the words that come out of her mouth I'll never know.

People are overreacting to people being JUST disappointed that she wasn't a bit more involved. Like, let people have a life :lmao: Nothing big is going on and no one is really trying to hate on her, it's just a minor letdown that doesn't affect anything.

But guys it's not the first time she has used samples in her songs. Even WITH RedOne....

Just look at Alejandro. The violin at the beginning is a sample of Vittorio Monti's "Czardas"

Read the OP. Please.

This isn't sampling. This is taking the actual instrumental and making a song from it. It's like handing you a Zedd song without a singer, a singer coming along and making lyrics for it.

It's not sampling.

Sampling? Meh, who cares. :laughga:

What the hell is wrong with you people?  Its one song off an album of probably 13+ songs.   And its a demo of that one song.
