Dangerous Man 9,245
With an era twice as long, 8 singles (8 radio payola) and a re-release... Her numbers are horrible considering all this tbh... But still it doesn't change the fact that it have done better than BTW in the US. But anyway, I'm not here for Katy blocking Gaga. I also doubt she can top TD era. I also doubt streaming power of Katy is as great as Gaga, is it? "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
RabbitHeart 793
But in the US TD sold more than BTW, right? and I guess that's the reason why Katy and her team are confident in having a competition with Gagz. I'm not 100% sure, but I think TD only just recently overtook BTW in sales? BTW's debut sales were definitely higher, though.

In the US, it outsold BTW last year, if I'm not mistaking. It also got a lot of boost from holiday seasons. Here's the current sales of the two: 2,736,000 - TEENAGE DREAM - Katy Perry 2,293,000 - BORN THIS WAY - Lady GaGa I think the gap is big. Esp. that the album sales have been declining lately. Katy Perry - Teenage Dream 2,739,566 Lady Gaga - Born This Way 2,290,000 I still think these are not bad numbers for Gaga considering the era lasted like 6 months, and most of the US tour dates were cancelled. Also besides TEOG and BTW the radio hated Gaga this era. Edit: Oops I was late :shy: Edited August 2, 2013 by PatrickMonster
Dangerous Man 9,245
Also, TD is currently at #295 in US itunes, while BTW is far from that. The re-release of TD is also a big factor of the gap I guess. Dangerous Man 9,245
Except that BTW doesn't have that kind of longevity. But still I'm hoping that ARTPOP will have that kind of longevity that TF had. Does anyone here knows how many months TF topped Electronic/Dance album chart?
