CHANTEL 2
I wish it wasn't the remix tho, i'm sure SS would have at least done good.
WarriorPrince 1
The original is way better than the remix. Whatever fits the GP.
Pop Art 1,773
I wish it wasn't the remix tho, i'm sure SS would have at least done good. It's likely it wouldn't have. Perhaps it would have climbed higher than where it's currently at (#49) but I doubt it would have gotten as high as the remix currently is. I could be wrong though. AURA 2,890
See, I view it a little differently here. In Lana's case, she literally needed this remix for the song to even chart at all, so I think it's appropriate and a smart move on Interscope's part. However, when people are simply greedy for that #1, such as Katy's label, and they put out a remix that was obviously put out just to fulfill that desire, that is when I and I assume most others have a problem. For me it's the same.

I wouldn't mind tbh if the remix was in good quality. But it's like the same as what the others are doing that they will make any kind of remix just for d sake of a higher chart position. Giving me Cruise remix teas imo. But anyway this d 1st time for Lana doing it so i wont judge anymore. I think the only time a remix can be used and not be considered a cheap tactic is... 1. If it adds artistic merit to the song. (This is kind of subjective though.) 2. If it is needed to launch a new/struggling artists' breakout single. None of Katy's remixes matched either of those in my opinion, and while I can't speak for everyone obviously, that is why I was so overwhelmingly angry that she released numerous ones. Tommymonster44 0
Burqa sounds full Zedd not Madeon nor DJWS... Madeon definitely co-produced with Zedd. Go to around 1:55. That giant bass explosion is one of Madeon's go to sounds.Since it's apparently titled Aura instead of Burqa, I can now say that I wouldn't mind it being a single. I was just worried the title Burqa would turn many people off. We still don't know that, though? The leak could have just been "aura" but she decided to change it to "Burqa" after it was recorded. Americano 31,061
It's confirmed Burqa is not a song title, it's Aura.
badboymonsterx 540
SO glad that Katy's releasing before Gaga so Applause wouldn't have to worry about Roar outshining it on VMA week How embarrassing would it be if Roar couldn't overtake Blurred Lines LOL true!! I swear, ive already heard that remix instrumental before. I dont find it special from the othet remix out there. It's really odd that SS remix is doing better than d original. But then It happened already to cruise so it's likely going to happen again. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

I think it can be tied to the fact that the remix is getting the overwhelming amount of radio airplay, not the original. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Summertime Sadness is about to go Top 20 on Pop Radio in the comings days, probably even tomorrow. In accordance with Klou's 'Top 20 Pop Radio Theory', I expect to see the song jump on iTunes in the coming days Edited August 6, 2013 by The Night
