As for the Ke$ha talk, I do think Last Goodbye could do wonders for her. Show the GP a whole new side of her. What's the worst that can happen? Her past 2 singles have under performed, might as well take a risk and see what happens

Last Goodbye could broaden Ke$ha's audience though. TOY and/or Warrior would just leave her in the same boat she's been sinking in. And I really don't want to see her sink any further.

With the material she has, she's not going to go much farther regardless unless she completely revamps herself. In her extended absence, Katy Perry reinvented herself as less of a rock chick and more of a top 40 princess, and Nicki Minaj emerged as the go-to female rapper in pop. Both of them, in ways, stole Ke$ha's niche, and she'll probably have to find a different one if she wants success again.

RCA was dumb for not letting her do songs like "Machine Gun Love". Something like that is what would work for her. The rockier sound makes it clear to listeners that she's not Katy or Nicki, and the rapping lets you know it's Ke$ha.

I think Ke$ha's voice is a lot more unique than you give her credit for. And so is Katy's. And so is Nicki's. It's so easy to tell them all apart. Ke$ha never had a niche, and I don't think anybody ever stole her "style." I think it has more to do with the content of her singles that is throwing people off. Die Young, C'mon, and Crazy Kids have all basically been about the same thing, and people are sick of it. Last Goodbye is a classic love song, it's catchy as hell, it has strong vocals, and it has a lot of personal meaning behind it for Ke$ha that, imo, shines through.

This has nothing to do with anybody stealing any style or niche or audience. It has nothing to do with needing to find a niche. It has to do with releasing a song that can broaden her audience and get people interested in her again, and Last Goodbye, again imo, is strong enough to do just that.

Agreed. GaGa's is unrecognizable sometimes. The Fame and Born This Way ... doesn't even sound like the same artist.

But I will say GaGa's voice has gotten stronger, whereas Ke$ha ...  :awkney:

Gaga's voice has changed immensely between The Fame and Born This Way, no doubt about it.

The thing about Ke$ha is that even if you don't know the song, you'll definitely know it's Ke$ha. But I think her voice has improved a lot between Animal and Warrior. I mean, Tik Tok was autotune galore. But I don't think she used voice correcting autotune at all on Warrior. It's all her real voice, and I give her credit for that. It's by no means the best voice in the industry, but it's unique.

kesha down to #53 yesssssss!!!  :excited2:  :excited2:

and riri seems like she is gonna flop too with right now  :excited2:  :excited2:

I like riri, but that song is a generic mess (where have you been 2.0, WFL 3.0), and I don't want her to get too powerful. 2 hits for her era are good enough for her.

Bonnie McKee's single is off to a good start for a "new" artist. Especially considering many people who would have bought the song downloaded it for free from her website a month ago.

Instead of releasing unnecessary remixes why can't labels just pay for a banner whenever a new single is released to radio? The banner can just redirect to the album version
