Beyoncé and Gaga appeal to different markets now. It wouldn't be wise on either of their parts to release albums the same week, but if they release around the same time, one's performance will not affect the other's. Assuming Beyoncé does something similar to 4, her main market is going to be the urban audience, while Gaga will dominate at top 40.

The start of 'Mirrors' sounds really great, then the song just gets worse and worse as it progresses. (I like the chorus, and the song is pretty good. I wish the rest of the song was as good as the opening. The guitar part sounds so good.. it makes you think the song is going to be super great.)

Exactly, her greatest hits album is long overdue and I think her fans deserve one in the very near future.

 

Why do her fans deserve a greatest hits album? The fans already own every hit song she's ever made.

I really didn't mean for that to come across as shady as it did. I just meant that relative to someone else who is in her bracket (80's female pop star), she should do somewhat well debut wise. Edited June 18, 2013 by Klou

Woman's World isn't going anywhere on the BB charts. She's too old; it's just reality.

 

But I guess you can consider it a success because it's a club headbanger song sung by a 70 year old woman, and it is charting on iTunes.

80`s star .... Cher put out her first album in 1965. She`s had success in 4 different decades, though never in as a big or sustained a way as Kylie did in her home countries (Oz and UK).

 

Cher is queen of intermittent success over long periods.

I know....... She had some of her biggest hits in the 80's and again in the late 90's/early 2000's, just like Kylie.

All I was doing was comparing her itunes debut to another. I don't want this debate to go off course too much.
