*First tutorial in awhile, so please bare with me!

*What we're making:

*k651W.png

*What you'll need:

*Models (of your choice, but to save you cutting I recommend ones with a solid black background), Vintage Pattern, Random, Splatter Brushes, Grunge, Grunge 2, Heart, Circle, Hand

*ONE.

*Make a new canvas, 800x600. Fill it with black.

*TWO.

*Choose your model(s). I picked ones with a solid black background to save on cutting, but it's up to you, really. Place the bigger one on your canvas the way you like. The other one will come later! If they're not already black and white images, do so now.

*THREE.

*Take the vintage texture and put it on the bottom of your canvas. Then, download the brushes and apply a layer mask. You'll need a pretty big brush, by the way. Erase how you like until the texture looks right to you. I placed my smaller model over the top of this texture. You should have something like this.

*FOUR.

*Take the random texture, apply a layer mask and erase the majority of it with a soft brush so it's only covering the borders. Result.

*FIVE.

*Take the grunge texture and do the same as you did in step three. This is all a matter of personal preference, so do what feels right to you. Result.

*SIX.

*Take the second grunge texture. This is really big, so I recommend resizing it. I also erased the head of it at the top, because I found it awkward. I placed it near my model(s), but you can do what you like. set this to Screen. Result.

*SEVEN.

*Take the heart, and resize it if needed - I left it the same size or slightly smaller. Place it on the top right of your blend, and set it to Linear Burn. Result.

*EIGHT.

*Take the circle and resize it. Place it in the middle of your larger model and set it to Multiply. Result.

*NINE.

*Take the hand, and resize it so that it fits just inside the circle. Set this to Multiply, as well. Result.

*TEN.

*COLORING!

*Now that your base is done, you've made it to the coloring. This is really easy and works for all programs (not sure about the black and white layer, though). Follow the steps below!

*Make a white gradient fill, reverse it so that it covers the top of the blend. Set this to Normal, 65%.

*Make a new color balance layer, and enter the following settings:

*Midtones: 11/20/35

*Shadows: -10/-10/30

*Make another color balance layer and enter the following:

*Midtones: 0/-20/-30

*Shadows: 19/13/8

*Make a new Black and White layer. Don't change any of the settings and click OK. Set this to Soft Light, 100%.

*Lastly, make a new black and white gradient map. Set this to Normal, 40%

*ELEVEN.

*Go to Select > Select > All. Then, go to Edit > Copy Merged. Click paste, and then apply a Gaussian Blur, with a radius of ten pixels. Set that to Soft Light.

*TWELVE.

*The last step is the text. I wrote "I pray the fame won't take my life" in the font String and Wire, but you can use what you like.

*And you're done! Hope you enjoy. :) Please post results.

Another blend... this one of Lana Del Rey! She's a favorite around here, so I figured I'd do something with her.

I'm pretty sure I found them on a Tumblr blog. I can't remember exactly where I got them, but if you search for "Photoshop textures" you should get a TON of similar results.

Hope that helps!

I'll tell you the same thing I told Gagonce... I don't know exactly where I got it, but I know for sure it's a Tumblr blog. Just search for "Photoshop Textures" and there's a TON of similar stuff in that vien for you to download.

Let me know if you find what you're looking for and good luck!
