She just tweeted "7 days" :D

Im hoping it's a tracklist / new single announcement or something, and not that we're all gonna die because she planted a Ring-style video inside of Bad Girls.

I'm so excited for this album :). My favorite one has to be Kala. For me, it was the perfect balance between Arular and Maya. Maya kind of disappointed me. I feel that it was poorly produced. Most of the songs on it feel like demos. I really love the ideas she put into it, but the fact that some songs on it weren't even mastered turned me off.

If you are using headphones 70 dollars and under you probably won't be able to tell it's a low quality album. I can only hear perfection on my Skullcandy Titans :). However, on a better set of headphones all of the songs beside the first three have a steady flow of pop. clicks, and random buzzes. These noises are a result of not mastering the music.

I loved Kala, though :). It was done very well, which is why I don't get how Maya turned out to be crap.

Ok, I'm excited about the new record too.

But..... what you described about the music sounding like demos is what MIA is all about. She wants it to have a raw feel as if it's coming from her to you. It adds to the ethos of the record. This goes for ///Y/ and ViCKiLEEKx. It adds to the perfection and rawness. It's not that they aren't mastered, they are mastered to sound like they aren't mastered. There's a real DIY asthetic to the album. I think ///Y/ is her best record to date. But you probably favor a more polished dance/electronic/alternative hip-hop feel like her first two.

I'm super excited for the new album and I'm glad she said it'll be a mix of all her other records. I need the storytelling of Arular/Kala mixed with the punk electronic vibe of ///Y/ and Leekx. Another excited thing is what she'll be writing about. I feel like fame will be a component, especially some sort of hidden reflection on the Super Bowl "situation".

I agree.

I've grown to like it a little more though.

Teqkilla, Lovalot, and It Takes A Muscle are great :legend:
