They aren't exactly demo's, they are past that point but they are not yet the finished things either, and honestly how long will that take? with most that were recorded I think this once again implies that they know what songs they are using. It doesn't say most demos have been recorded, but that most of them are in between demo/finished. All the demo's are done just most are at a certain point. It also implies that those that aren't part of the most could be beyond the in between point, even finished (lead single?) or a bit below the in between point.
