VelvetVenus 329
Kelly was very childish to bring this to twitter, but the store handled the situation the worst way possible omg The shouldâve apologized publicly and invited her to come back to the store to have a better experience, even if they wanted her to rot in hell

Bling 31,720
I stand with Kelly. The shop has been condescending from their first public statement, which backs up Kelly's claim. 4

Karenâs are just Americans being stupid and brainless, but Kelly did had a reason behind her action (though itâs still unfair for the business since sheâs more powerful). They even doubled down on their aggression when she added more context on what really happened. Disagree. Anyone can have a bad day and be ârecklessâ including Kelly Clarkson. Thereâs a power dynamic at play as well here, thus their defensive aggression. This logic is very gross to me and gives Kelly Clarkson a moral pedestal I donât think anyone has ever earned.

But also, regardless of the situation; itâs wild that a celebrity would put a small business on blast. Baby, it's not small struggling mom and pop store run by retirees. It's a "small business" in the middle of wealthy Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, which rental price in a average is $200/sq ft per month. And this shop described to have 5000sq ft, so they are paying $1M/month for this shop rental. Theyâre paying between $33k - $88k a month for their lease space. Still a lot of money, but not even remotely close to 1 mill per month.

They'll survive but it puts a lot of innocent employees at risk, we know how crazy pop stans can be... it was very dangerous of kelly to do such a thing and even if her story is 100% true, it doesn't warrant the abuse they are receiving some poor employee who manages their social media/communications is having to go through all these hateful messages to find genuine customers caught up in this mix mother, what must i do?

These people don't have the best PR team behind them, they don't have at all, they are trying to handle a situation that is bigger than them. in one second they are the center of attention and a bad one.. dealing with a 60 million net worth powerful celebrity that behaves like the most McDonald's type of a Karen and her idiotic mob, is not as easy as it sounds.. Iâm aware the customer isnât always right but you literally donât know if she wasnât told the wrong information by the store. I donât feel bad about Kelly not being able to get a 15,000 mechanic bird but Iâm also not going to feel bad about a store that has multiple art pieces that are thousands of dollars and just opened a couple years ago in the now gentrified Brooklyn, this is not some mom and pops store, itâs a store opened by two millionaires.
