OT: I think she said in an interview that Chromatica Ball reminded her of her love for the stage, it reconnected her with the fans. Chromatica is such a unique era in Gaga’s career because it evolved so much (from the making of the album, to the release / promo, and then the tour) it’s the only album that she didn’t cry for when she finished it and she said it was more of a relief for her, it needed to happen. And I think we see that relief on the tour, she performed like never before, it was so triumphant to behold. It really became the dance floor that she fought for. Chromatica Forever 

Chromatica has a very special place in her discography, she reveals herself there totally and the music is well produced. One of the best electronic records ever came out for me! Chromatica 💓

Tbh I don’t think it ever was but kinda like enigma she was going through the motions. That’s why she can talk about the album less fondly and the tour very much so

I mean…idk how the album is her unshackled album when it talks about how thoroughly shackled she feels and how deep in the throes of psychosis she was making it, though…she seemed very very out of control in the making of the album itself save for a handful of its songs and even then only parts. The tour it came more to life, though.

Not the album, the era, hence why everything I posted was about the era. She appeased people during the era and learned the hard way that appeasement doesn’t help. 

Thank god for her having an understanding partner who sees her and gets her.
