Lady Gaga Clearly Ageing - Is She Avoiding Major Celebrity Plastic Surgery?

Before I continue I want to stress this thread is meant in a positive way not shade or criticism. While I have nothing against plastic surgery and procedures if it makes you happy (i myself have had a beard transplant) I do hate the high pressure to look good culture that pushes people to feel they have to do these things out of insecurity in the first place and its particularly high pressure in Hollywood

 

Celebs especially female ones (which face an even greater degree of pressure to stay looking young than men) who chose to age naturally is very refreshing to me. People like Celine Dion, Betty White, Jamie Lee etc to name a few. Its very empowering to see they loved themselves enough to accept their natural state and not force artificial youthfulness

 

Now we know Gaga has done a few things like lip filler, likely nose filler etc. Minor things tbh by celeb standards. But ive noticed the last 1-2 years especially she has aged quite a bit and you really see it when shes not wearing make up. Thats not surprising as late 30s to early 40s is a common age threshold for age to really start to suddendly show on the skin

 

 

The fact she seems to have aged a fair bit kinda suggests she isnt doing any overly agressive face lifts, botox etc to force an artificial youth and while id never criticise if thats what she chose to do, its so nice to see confidence in herself that she can choose not to

I mean, she has very clearly had a decent amount of work done over the years. That's pretty inarguable just by looking.

The difference you're seeing in her and in some other celebrities her age who've also had work done versus older celebrities who've gotten work done in the past is that a lot of plastic surgery today is done in such a way that it looks a bit more natural and makes it appear that you're aging more naturally rather than being somewhat frozen in place. 

She's had work done by surgeons who're clearly very good at their jobs. She looks great. And there's nothing wrong with getting work done as you said.

There's this weird phenomenon where, when you hit certain age milestones, a big chunk of ageing suddenly happens at once. It's so strange, but lots of people seem to experience it

But on topic.. I think Gaga is a very strong woman who has actively rebelled and fought against industry pressures for a long time. And she is also seemingly the most comfortable in herself and her life that she's ever been. Also her mother is such an influential figure in her life, and I feel like she might let herself age into Cynthia's face. Because Cynthia is gorgeous! And Gaga admires older women too, so I don't think she's too afraid to become one. And on top of all that, I'm pretty sure it's not advised for people with fibromyalgia and pain disorders to have unnecessary surgeries

But all of that said, who knows, she might decide to eventually. And if she does who cares  

 

And as a personal aside.. I actually think it looks 100x better when someone has a well done procedure or two (facelift, blepharoplasty, fat transfer, lip lift) instead of just adding more and more and more filler. Always

She's very good at having none invasive stuff done. She's absolutely had fillers/botox etc. Just avoids the harsher treatments and actual surgeries.

Honestly I think she’s not showing signs of ageing the way you’re intending it. She’s just different from when she was 25-30, as expected. She’s always had that cute tiny fat pad under her chin. She quit dr**s and smoking, she lost a ton of weight after the last leg of J&P and she became sportier and stronger before kicking off the mayhem ball. This is what really makes the difference when it comes to ageing gracefully. She’s healthy and in my opinion it really shows.

I’ve read about this- aging is not a gradual process. It happens in stages and is more abrupt than we realize. I have seen it in my older family members as well. When they hit a certain age, the things they used to do the previous year suddenly become an uphill battle.

I think she will keep doing those minor procedures not because she’s insecure about aging but because she clearly feels pretty but yeah I don’t see her changing her face drastically because she looks older
