Either it will be big-motherhood or absolutely nothing about it is my suspicion. She’s always been very existential in her themes - and they don’t always translate into the material (i.e. the self, public vs private persona (Stefani/Gaga), the idea of fame, etc.). I’m curious if motherhood will push her to explore this further with more of a mother vs public vs private selves or if it just becomes a part of her private self and she doesn’t expose it to the public at all.

Exactly!! I think Mayhem was a true rebirth of her artistry, and I think she’ll apply her writing, production, and instinctual methods to yet another timeless work. I have a feeling LG8 will be the yang to the yin of Mayhem, almost like a reverse TFM. Which one could argue is in itself would be a reverse Warholian expedition…
