bim 800 Posted yesterday at 06:49 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:49 PM Thinking about how she was writing music on tour. If we got some alanis-esque, 90s piano heavy grunge with a hint of mayhem requiem about the complex emotional journey of expecting a child/becoming a mother, I would collapse. Something sonically in the realm of ‘uninvited’.
PornoDanceFight 2,456 Posted yesterday at 07:48 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:48 PM (edited) Something akin to Joanne (not necessarily Americana/country-pop), but with even more emphasis on live instrumentation, upbeat piano-rockers, and a hint of soul/gospel. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road meets Young Americans meets Frank is what immediately comes to mind. TheFrenchGuy 5,889 Posted yesterday at 07:52 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:52 PM I don't she going to necessarily going to go for a more intimate sound, but it will for sure be fresh. I think Mayhem was her rethreading old themes with a somewhat refreshed perspective, and that motherhood will give her new paths to explore. I'm super excited.

TheARTPOPball 1,720 Posted yesterday at 08:46 PM Share Posted yesterday at 08:46 PM Idk about sound but I expect to hear an identifiable change of perspective both on herself and the world itself now that she has a life to look after/protect. More awareness of what’s going on around her.

princedeeblebleble 3,791 Posted yesterday at 09:36 PM Share Posted yesterday at 09:36 PM I'd hope for lyrical content mixed between Ray of light and American life with equally crazy production. Hell I'd even enjoy her doing original jazz with elements of pop and rock. Just as long as its not bland as Joanne and Chromatica were for most of the record. The marrow of Joanne, but something just like cosmic liberation … a revisitation of the sort of post-wave divine feminine genome that coursed through the conceptual cadence undercurrents of ARTPOP … with an element of the Mayhem technique, but a genuine human texture to that technical precision … but none of this might make any sense (when does it ever? ) And the Frank nod! That the Take The Box (Seijis Buggin' Mix) shuffled up on an afternoon drive today—the kismet!

I feel like her next album will probably lean more towards adult contemporary. She already explored that a bit with ASIB and even Mayhem showed a really fresh mature side to her sound.
