It's long overdue.

Even for people who are more sympathetic to Israel, the actions of settlers in West Bank are, and always have been, utterly deranged. To have a government over there that's not only letting it happen but encouraging it is something that nobody should be tolerating.

After looking into it further I’m quite shocked at how much “plot armour” Israel has to do bad things. And how they’re not respecting the boundaries of the land given to them.

Like recently learning about the Samson Option and what it is, their nuclear ambiguity and what the hypotheticals all are is terrifying and shows how deranged they actually are, and how paranoid they became after WW2 and the YK War in 73.

That said, I wonder how Reform will react to this. I wonder what Jake Haye Rowlings response will be since her "feminism" stops applying the moment a woman is being k!lled in Palestine.

Muted response from them and quiet support from the Tories.

Farage et al are stuck because Israel decided to start touching the Falklands subject which is a surprisingly unifying topic with the UK electorate so now supporting Israel at this moment is politically toxic.

The rest of the UK political parties that have been pro-israel have all backed up the government or aren't prepared to criticise it.

The general view is that a lot of established MPs back in 2023 presumed this would be like all the previous Israel/Hamas conflicts in Gaza where its over within a month or 2 and doesn't impact the electorate. So they got trapped by that continued support the longer Israel dragged it out and then Iran made the issue nuclear levels of toxic.

Now with a "fresh" government taking action and openly criticised Kier Starmer, its created an "off ramp" for people to quietly walk back from the position on Israel they got trapped in.

It’s kind of ironic that believing another state should have the land (in this case the Falklands) became the turning point when we’ve essentially been on the side of the Argentine equivalent in the whole Israel v Palestine thing this whole time.
