25 years later.. where are they now? what happened to Xtina, P!nk, Lil Kim, Mya and Missy Elliott aka Misdemeanor?

1. Xtina

Since the big success of the song, the singer, the one who's always one step behind Britney Spears, has been enjoying success until a new player showed up, Lady Gaga, and Xtina, stupidly mocked her with a very transphobic and genderphobic remark "I don't know if it is a man or a woman.", since that point of time, the Gaga curse striked and Christina flopped faster than you can say Ferarri, and now in 2026,  Xtina is a living tribute of the 2000s, doing concerts in countries where has beens are going to perform for a bit of nostalgic cash, rumors says that she's working on new music that nobody will care about.

2. P!nk

The rebel rock star turned soccer mom, P!nk became the soundtrack of every rebel teenager at the 00s until she became a mom and then her music became the soundtrack of Walmart and soccer moms' Margarita parties at the suburbs. since 2023 P!nk spent her time spreading Zionist propaganda in her social media, she's so rebel.

3. Lil Kim

Lil Kim enjoyed the big success of the song, just to end up in jail for one year, released in 2006, she spent her time collecting the pieces, releasing "Shut Up Bitch", and later spending her time defending the earth and hip hop from Nicki Minaj, but at first, the earthlings didn't believe her and pushed her away, until Nicki went MAGA. in 2026 Lil Kim is now a supporting act for another has beens The Pussycat Dolls, and enjoying performing at clubs across America.

4. Mya

Nobody really knows who is she, she had a song Case of The Ex, then somehow she's part of the Lady Marmalade gang, but since the song was released, Mya had a roller coaster of a career, she flopped one flop after the another, she was dropped out of the label, went independent, and then from 2018-2026, she did absolutely nothing except for some tributes here and there and some collabs, now in 2026 she released a new album that nobody heard or cared about, even this one flopped.. makes you wonder, maybe it's time to get the hint?

5. Missy

The original ARTPOP, the original camp, the one and only Missy Misdemeanor Elliott.

Missy's streak of success didn't stop after Lady Marmalade, she released many singles and 3 more successful albums.. until her sudden vanish into the void in 2007, and since then she popped up here and there as a feature, released a short EP and then disappeared again. in 2026 all she did was a tribute to Aaliyah, so let's wish her the best I guess..

 

And that's it.. 5 ladies, 5 careers, 1 big successful and iconic song, 1 cultural reset.. just to end up with absolutely nothing 25 years later.

Missy disappeared because she was ill with Graves disease. She has secured her legacy as an influential legend in hip hop and pop for years now. She's the first female rapper in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the first female rapper to get the VMA Video Vanguard award. I think she deserves a little more respect than this description.
