Cherry Blues 518
Die With A Smile is perfect to endig an album like MAYHEM, it feels and sounds as if you are recapitulating the chaos of the world with a waving flag in a chaotic zombie apocalypse and turning to your loved one. Feels very organic. Edited 2 hours ago by Cherry Blues 1

They don’t need to send it off the very day they finish the rendering on the last track.. they could still take a couple days besides- they probably already DID know tracks 1-13 and then surprise surprise DWAS gets thrown on to the END as track 14- not anywhere in the middle of the album. Blade of Grass is a very obvious album ender, typical ballad.. so okay I’m sure they knew 1-13, and then DWAS becomes 14 because it was ALREADY a massive hit by September. Depends on when they sent off the master CD, usually you send it the day it’s due because otherwise you risk leaks and theft just having songs laying around. Based on Gaga’a previous album creative cycles we’ve seen she almost always submits the day it’s due because she likes to tweak songs till the last minute. My theory has always been they had it all done on September 10th, sent it off to the label and the original plan was for an autumn release to co-inside with Joker. But then the movie didn't go well so they pushed it back into 2025 to distance her pop music from it. I fully think Mayhem and Harlequin were going to be double album drops together (like when drake dropped 3 albums). But spaced out so it was like a triple whammy; DWAS as a hit, then Harlequin as a #1 album to promote Joker, then Joker to promote her music, Disease around Halloween time and then Mayhem in maybe November. So it is possible Die With A Smile could’ve been part of Joker 2 or Harlequin. This MAYHEM sheet music book says DWAS is from Joker FAD https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lady-Gaga-MAYHEM-ebook/dp/B0F2SFRT7Q

And thank god because joker FLOPPED so DWAS was a good transition OUT of joker Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”
