Honestly, I'm mostly here for Dancing With A Stranger, How Do You Sleep and Diamonds era, but I feel like they hate those songs. The rest I don't pay that much attention too

I'm guessing because most artists nowadays do BARELY any promo. Almost no interviews, just some podcasts and random tiktos, barely  any performances, barely any magazine covers, two videos if we're lucky and then they wonder why songs with iconic performances and videos still get people streaming years or even decades later, when you can barely find anything interesting about most new releases. Like even Gaga to a degree.. we used to get a bilion different performances of the main singles while for Mayhem we have a kitty litter preformance for the lead single and two versions of Abra - the SNL and cage  dress performance.

No one really watches TV performances or buys magazines anymore, so it feels like a waste of money for labels. In the past, promotion could have a much bigger impact because there were fewer ways to discover artists so shows, radio, and magazines had much more influence. 
Now an artist can perform on Good Morning America, SNL, Fallon Show...,  be on the cover of Vogue, and people still won’t care enough to check out their new music. there are so many artists and so much content now that nothing feels truly iconic anymore. People literally forget about award shows a day later.

I think they did some really heavy damage to their career with the Unholy era. I remember my coworkers were laughing at their pictures and saying how gross Sam is. I was so surprised because I would've never thought Sam was even on their radar.
