The Weeknd was pretty unknown at the time but he would have made the song better than anybody else. Their world building is so similar I don’t understand why a collab between both of them is taking so long.

I was thinking about this as well, vacillating between the pendulum of awesome and awful / in theory vs in practice … mostly on account of 2013 being circa Britney Jean … but, 2013 also brought “Work Bxxch” energy and the Piece of Me residency, which, in retrospect—a formidable DWUW narrative approach, whew
